Mr. James Thorn appeared in Problem Child 2 as Junior's sixth grade schoolteacher. He tested the students on the first day of school and had trouble with Murph. He showed his class pictures of Mortsville and it's history including the love rock. After Junior and Trixie put a dynamite in the toilet it goes to the toilet where Mr. Thorne is sitting on and it blows up. He appears later at the school parent's night with a large bandage covering his lower half. A concerned Ben takes notice of this after Junior introduces his teacher to him.
Personality[]
Mr. Thorn starts out appearing as a disciplinarian with the number of rules on his chalkboard and rushing Junior to his seat after expressing dislike toward having an additional student. But he appears to be a nice teacher and very easygoing. Even when Murph who has been in the 6th grade since he started teaching could not answer a simple addition problem, he still remained patient hoping Murph would answer it.
While being an easygoing person, he still goes by the school rules such as having to keep Murph in the 6th grade for bad grades and not awarding Junior gold stars presumly due to his behavior.
